Description: Here's a location that I've tried a few times before with no luck of any trains showing up. I thought I had it made this time as I knew there was a train heading my way - however it showed up about two later than what I wanted for the best light angle. There was still some nose light, so I switched from a wideangle zoom to the 85mm and got this.

Description: 600 feet above rail level at East Scenic Washington lie the remains of concrete snow sheds that once protected the mainline of the Great Northern Railway. Abandoned since 1929 these structures remain, still guarding the now empty right of way from the avalanches that are an all to common feature of the Cascade mountains in winter.
