That time of Year

My very best wishes for this time of year.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, whatever.

No snow in Southern Ontario this year, in contrast to the
deep snow we had this time last year.

Played Santa Claus yesterday December 24th and today December 25
visiting friends in the various retirement and nursing homes.
Small gifts are often appreciated as much as other things.
Perfumes of various types for the ladies, ditto scarves and warm
gloves for both sexes. The elderly do venture forth in cool weather and hence
these appliances are needed.

Even bought myself a pair of mittens, hands are
a long way from the heat source and moreso when the outside
temperatures are cold.

Have started reading the Vis Major book by Martin Burwash as I had promised myself;
and so far so good. An opened bottle of the erstwhile blueberry wine is nearby.

Actually the wine is on a table across the room; if I have troubles reaching the bottle, have had too much wine. The shaky legs underneath shall inform me.

Hence my very best wishes to all and sundry and too best wishes for 2010.
Remember when we were all concerned that the world would stop turning
when 1999 12 31 at midnight would become 2000 01 01?

it didn't and life continues.
